The Elks Club at
Trexler Mansion &
The Trexler Guest House
- Coming Soon in 2027

Built in 1869 for the Trexler family, whose iron works supplied the rails beneath the Reading Railroad, this French Empire Revival mansion later spent seventy years as Pennsylvania's most illustrious Elks lodge. When the lodge closed in 1978, the building sat dark for decades. In 2023, Shuman Development Group began restoring our historic landmark to its former glory.

The Reformed Church
- Coming late 2026

First raised as a log structure in 1753, rebuilt in stone, then in brick, the First Reformed Church has stood on Washington Street through every chapter of Reading's story. Its restoration keeps what makes it irreplaceable:  stained glass, original salvaged lighting, refinished floors and seating; and opens it for non-denominational weddings, ceremonies, and celebrations. The first-floor Fellowship Room, with its open stage and natural light, will host receptions and community gatherings of its own.
